What Do Employees Say?

It is very rewarding for the staff at Connections to review the Quality (satisfaction) Surveys that come in from employees and family members who have used the service.

All of the responses following were written following an open ended statement asking for "additional comments" about Connection's services.

Timeliness and prompt response receives comment.

“Your program was very courteous in making arrangements to see our family on very short notice. I am very grateful for this program!”

“I benefited from the immediate response in getting me an appointment in the same day I called! I was referred to a good treatment program... I am back on track in my life... I have been sober now for three months, I have a new-found relationship with God that is growing each day. Thank-you for helping me with the first step to saving my life!”

Character and courtesy is often mentioned by EAP users.

“Our EAP counselor is a wonderful person. She helped us so much with only three visits. She does her job very well and hopefully will be commended for her work.”

“They were very kind and courteous. They helped us to take the next step in helping our son.”

Competent and skilled professionals are appreciated.

“I appreciate the service. As a “professional” myself, it is nice to have a place to turn for help.”

“I feel it is such a valuable service. Sometimes you really need someone else that isn’t family or friend to get advice and help. I appreciate it very much.”

“The professional I saw was matched to my situation and was excellent on several levels. I honestly feel she gave me the tools to straighten out problems at work and also in my marriage. I have great reference materials and will feel free to call again.”

Convenience of local services is important.

“The local counselor in my community was very helpful. My family has benefited greatly!”

“I was very satisfied with the service. In fact the counselor checked back with me in ten days after the last visit to make sure everything was going well. Thank-you so much for helping me “connect” with the services in my community. It really meant a lot and definitely helped out in a stress filled time.”

The EAP gives employees an opportunity to learn that seeing the counselor can be a very useful life management tool.

“I have used the EAP before with good results. I am so glad I went again for this particular issue. The guidance I received has precipitated a great deal of change in my life.”

“I have recommended these services to several other employees that were having problems and they also rave about the counseling. I am so glad I sought out this help!”

The EAP is important for the families health and budget!

“Was truly a relief knowing I wouldn’t be paying for years for the services I received.”

“Our whole family felt our visits were very helpful and important... it put us all at ease.”

Response to Leadership Training

The most valuable thing I learned was:

I thought the training was excellent.  I have a much better understanding of my role as a supervisor and what is expected of me.

I thought this was an excellent tool for our supervisors on how to document, deal, and direct employees.

This seminar was much more than I expected, it gave much insight to the daily issues and how to go about things.  Very beneficial.

I particularly liked the examples used to refer to a certain situation.  The presentation was very interesting and the instructor had great presentation skills which avoided boredom among the attendees.

Please comment on the performance of the instructor:

Well done, refreshing--positive--and I'm usually a tough rater!

Excellent job of illustration and clear objectives.

Very well presented and informative.

Please comment on your perception of the value of the EAP:

All supervisors and managers need to know what to do and how to handle employees and possible situations.

I think it is a good tool for supervisors as well as employees.

Excellent tool in this complex world we live in.

This is a valuable asset, the EAP. It takes burden off the supervisor, whose job is normally stressful enough already.

Should be an excellent tool for helping retain good employees or restore them to previously good performance standards not possible in-house.

Took a while for the Company to get this going - but it is needed and I am thankful I have Connections on board.

Useful relevant material.

Good set-up of the role play, future follow-up of these discussions will be useful to the manager, supervisor and team leaders.

Considering the length of the seminar, excellent, one of the best-if not the best-I've attended.

I loved it! I hope there will be more training on people behavior and how to deal with that conflict. Thank you.
